These Terms are an agreement between you and LI ZHIQI ("we") for your use of ShotButler (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility and availability
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. The Service is not offered to users located in mainland China, and registration and payment are not available there. Choosing an output language (including Simplified Chinese) does not mean we offer the Service in any region where that language is used. You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply where you use the Service.
2. Accounts
You can sign in with Google or an email verification code. Keep your account secure; you are responsible for activity on it. One person may not create multiple accounts to get around free-tier or credit limits.
3. The Service
ShotButler helps you translate, edit, check and resize app store screenshots using third-party AI services. AI output can be inaccurate. You must review every result before you use it.
No approval guarantee. The review-risk check is an automated aid based on common issues. It is not legal advice, and it does not guarantee that Apple, Google or any other store will approve your app or listing.
4. Your content
- You keep all rights to the screenshots you upload ("Inputs").
- You confirm that you own your Inputs or have the necessary rights to them, and that they do not infringe anyone's rights or contain unlawful content or sensitive personal data you are not allowed to share.
- You grant us a limited license to host, process and transmit your Inputs, including to our AI providers, only to provide the Service to you.
- As between you and us, you own the outputs generated for you ("Outputs"), subject to third-party rights and the licenses of the AI models used. We do not use your Inputs or Outputs to train AI models, and we will not publish them without your permission.
- You are responsible for how you use Outputs, including compliance with store rules and the laws of your target markets.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service to: infringe intellectual property or privacy rights; create misleading, deceptive or illegal content; impersonate others; upload malware; reverse engineer or scrape the Service; bypass free-tier or credit limits, or obtain credits by fraud or through automated or abusive use; or resell the Service without our permission.
6. Plans, credits and payments
Purchases are processed by our payment provider, which acts as reseller and merchant of record, whose buyer terms also apply. Prices are shown at checkout and may include applicable taxes.
Plans.
- 7-day pass: US$9, 25 credits, valid for 7 days from purchase.
- Monthly: US$15 per month, 40 credits per billing month.
- Annual: US$99 per year, 30 credits granted each month.
- Free (no credits): (a) uploaded store-image translation: 3 translations total, no reset, 1 language per translation, exported images watermarked; (b) Design Screenshots (AI image generation): 1 watermarked 1K image total, single-image mode only. The free allowance is limited to one per person. We may decline or withdraw it where a device or network has already been used to claim it, or where we reasonably suspect abuse.
Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time before the next billing date.
Credit usage. A 2K image costs 1 credit and a 4K image costs 2 credits. Design translation costs 1 credit per 1K/2K image or 2 credits per 4K image, for each target language. Uploaded store-image text translation uses its separate translation allowance; complex-background AI repair is charged separately as described below. Every supported export size is included. The quoted or maximum credit cost is shown before you start image generation, design translation, new AI reviews or complex-background AI repair. Credits or free allowance may be reserved when you start a run, but are charged only when a result is successfully produced. Failed generations, and runs where no text is detected and the original image is returned unchanged, are not charged, and any reserved credits or allowance are returned.
AI reviews. AI review costs 1 credit per 10 successfully reviewed new images in a run, rounded up. For example, 1–10 successful new reviews cost 1 credit and 11–20 cost 2 credits. Reusing an available saved review for the same image version costs no credits. Failed or incomplete AI reviews do not count toward the charge; unused reserved credits are returned. Daily review-run limits, where shown, are separate from credit charges.
Background repair. Complex-background AI repair costs 1 credit per source image, shared across target languages. Plain backgrounds repaired locally and matching saved repairs cost no credits. A repair charge is committed only when a translated image using that repair is successfully delivered. If no translated result is delivered, the repair reservation is returned. If a background has not yet been analyzed, the quote may show a maximum repair cost; an affected image stops before paid repair if sufficient credits are unavailable.
Expiry. Credits included in a pass or plan expire at the end of the pass period or billing period (for annual plans, at the end of each monthly credit period) and do not roll over. Separately purchased credit packs do not expire. When you use credits, plan credits that expire soonest are used first.
Nature of credits. Credits have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for cash (except as a refund under our Refund Policy), and cannot be transferred, sold or shared between accounts.
Refunds. Refunds are prorated by unused credits, as described in our Refund Policy. Consumers in the EU/UK keep the statutory rights that apply to them.
7. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers (including AI infrastructure providers, Google, Vercel, Supabase, Resend, Cloudflare and our payment provider). We are not responsible for their availability or their acts.
8. Termination
You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Sections 4 (Output ownership), 9, 10 and 12 survive termination.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits, or store rejections. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Indemnity
You will indemnify us against claims arising from your Inputs, your use of Outputs, or your breach of these Terms.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and disputes go to its courts, without affecting any mandatory consumer protection rights where you live.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms and will notify you of material changes. If you keep using the Service after a change, you accept the updated Terms.
